AWS Administrator (with Database & API Integration Expertise)

Job Description:

We are seeking an AWS Administrator who not only understands cloud infrastructure but can also bridge the gap between the backend and front-end through robust, secure, and scalable API development and database management.

You will be responsible for setting up and managing our cloud systems, maintaining backend services and APIs, and ensuring smooth, secure communication with our front-end applications (built in React and Phaser.js). You’ll play a critical role in keeping our game and web infrastructure responsive, reliable, and ready to scale.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Solid background in database administration, including setup, optimization, and security of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases on AWS.
• Proficient in building, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs, especially for communication between the backend and front-end applications.
• Familiarity with Node.js backend environments and how to support serverless or container-based (e.g., ECS, Fargate) infrastructures.
• Capable of managing secure authentication, API key management, rate limiting, and data protection protocols.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging and monitoring skills using tools like CloudWatch, X-Ray, or third-party log aggregators.

Additional Assets:

• Ability to optimize cost-performance across AWS services.
• Familiar with CORS configuration, secure API headers, and cross-origin communication issues that impact front-end developers.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating with React/Phaser front-end developers.

Experience with version control (Git), GitHub Actions, or other CI tools.
