Sr. Chemist- Admixtures (Concrete R&D)

About the role

Sika Philippines Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Chemist to join our team in Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a Sr. Chemist - AdMixtures, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our innovative concrete admixture products, contributing to the company's growth and success in the Construction industry.

1. Conduct research and development activities to formulate new and improved concrete admixture products
2. Perform analytical testing and quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into effective product solutions
4. Provide technical support and training to sales and marketing teams, as well as customers
5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement
6. Document and present research findings, test results, and product recommendations to stakeholders

1. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chemist in the Admixtures or Construction industry
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of chemical processes and product development
4. Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and analytical techniques, such as HPLC, GC, and spectroscopy
5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
6. Strong project management skills and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment
7. Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and product certifications
