The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role supervises accounting staff, reviews financial transactions, and supports budgeting, audits, and internal control processes.
The Accounting Supervisor ensures timely month-end and year-end closing while maintaining the integrity of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage accounting staff (AP, AR, Payroll, General Ledger)
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Monitor cash flow and approve payments
- Maintain and improve internal controls
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support internal and external audits
- Recommend process improvements and system enhancements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–7 years of accounting experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
