Job Summary
The Accounting Assistant supports the finance department by performing daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing financial statements and reportsRecord and process invoices, payments, and transactions
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and process expense reports
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Help with audits by providing necessary documentation
Update accounting databases and spreadsheets
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldBasic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
Preferred Skills
Experience in a similar accounting or finance roleFamiliarity with ERP systems
Strong numerical and analytical skills
