Safety Officer 2

Qualifications:

• Must be a certified Safety Officer 2 (SO2) accredited by DOLE
• At least 2–3 years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in waste management, construction, or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards
• Experience in handling hazardous materials or waste is an advantage
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Ability to work on-site and conduct field inspections

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce health and safety policies in compliance with DOLE and OSH standards
• Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments
• Monitor daily operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols, especially in waste handling and disposal activities
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
• Facilitate safety trainings, toolbox meetings, and emergency drills
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation as required by regulatory bodies
• Coordinate with management, supervisors, and external agencies on safety-related concerns
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment across all personnel
