The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves monitoring daily operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage daily production operations to ensure targets are achieved
Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement
Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Electrical Engineering (in some industries)
- Knowledge of production processes and manufacturing systems
- Familiarity with quality control standards (e.g., ISO)
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with production planning and scheduling
- Basic knowledge of automation and machinery
