Marketing Officer
Job description:
The Marketing Officer is responsible for the maintenance, development, and expansion of assigned accounts, ensuring the achievement of sales and production targets. The role focuses on business generation (new and renewals), client relationship management, preparation and coordination of proposals, and facilitation of policy issuance and renewals.The position ensures delivery of competitive insurance solutions while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Account ManagemenManage assigned accounts (new and renewals).
- Generate new business through direct solicitation, referrals, and networking.
- Achieve sales, production, and renewal targets.
- Conduct client visits to strengthen relationships and grow business.
- Secure competitive quotations from accredited insurance partners.
- Renewal Management
- Handle renewals via calls, emails, SMS, and other channels.
- Endorse renewal accounts with complete documentation to the Marketing Officer.
- Monitor and achieve monthly, YTD, and annual renewal targets.
- Submit renewal monitoring and conversion reports.
- Maintain accurate and updated client records.
- Proposal & Policy Processing
- Prepare and submit approved proposals.
- Coordinate policy issuance, endorsements, and related documentation.
- Reporting & Administrative Support
- Submit required weekly/monthly reports to OPSCOM and MANCOM.
- Monitor production performance and account status.
- Support receivables monitoring and collections.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate and negotiate with clients and insurance partners.
- Resolve client and operational concerns effectively.
- Ensure cost efficiency and proper use of company resources.
Other task requirement related to function:
- Attuned to industry developments and market trends.
- Provide guidance and leadership support when necessary.
- Account Receivables Monitoring and Collection Assistance.
- Feedback/Information for Departmental Planning, Systems/Product & Service Improvement.
- Perform other functions that may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
Authorities:
- Discretionary authorities as determined by immediate superior &/or management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business Administration.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, brand management, or sales (preferably in insurance or financial services).
- Strong understanding of insurance products, regulatory laws and market trends
- Proficiency in Ms Office, CRM software, Google Analytics, and marketing automation tools.
