General Maintenance Supervisor

General Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance operations of the facility/store, ensuring that all equipment, building systems, and utilities are functioning properly and safely. They supervise maintenance staff, coordinate repair works, preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
• Assign tasks to maintenance personnel and monitor work performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and building systems.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety standards and building regulations.
• Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs and services.
• Prepare maintenance reports, work schedules, and service records.
• Control maintenance costs and ensure efficient use of resources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Technical/Vocational certification in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
• Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Leadership and team supervision skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent repairs.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
