Junior Operations Manager

Job Description:

• Position Title: Junior Operations Manager
• Department: Operations
• Reporting To: Senior Operations Manager
• Core Responsibility: Ensuring all stores under their purview operate efficiently and intelligently by maintaining 100% compliance with systems and processes.

1. Operations Management and Execution

• Customer Service: Provide leadership in executing and measuring guest service standards to ensure growth.
• Compliance: Ensure restaurants comply with government inspections and TMG standards.
• Product Excellence: Collaborate with R&D and Executive Chefs on new menu products and conduct on-site quality evaluations.
• Marketing: Work with the Brand Department to implement promotions and train brand stewardship.

1. Sales and Profit

• Top Line Strategy: Recommend strategies driven by brand insights to optimize marketing and service efforts.
• Budgeting: Work with the Senior Operations Manager on budget planning and maintain controls on all activities.
• Labor Costs: Identify factors preventing long-term cost reduction and recommend strategies to slash costs without affecting capacity.
• Cost of Sales: Review monthly P&L with managers to create action plans for variances and analyze competition to increase market share.
• Other Controllables: Identify and implement cost-cutting measures for operating expenses.

1. People Management

• Coaching: Train, mentor, and discipline Establishment and Kitchen Managers.
• Succession Planning: Forecast future capacity needs and track the progress of managers against those capabilities.
• HR Responsibilities: Serve as a resource for hiring and promoting; partner with HR on investigations; and conduct semi-annual performance evaluations.
