About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Cebu Branch Accountant to manage the branch's accounting, cash management, compliance, and administrative operations. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day financial activities, supporting local business operations, and maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including customer billing, invoice issuance, collection monitoring, and follow-up of overdue accounts.
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including supplier invoice verification, matching of delivery receipts, and timely vendor payments.
  • Oversee branch administrative functions, including office utilities, petty cash, office records, and statutory compliance documents.
  • Monitor local bank transactions, check deposits, and prepare daily and weekly cash position reports.
  • Perform bank and intercompany account reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in month-end closing activities for Head Office consolidation.
  • Coordinate local tax filings, business permit renewals, and compliance requirements with government agencies and LGUs.
  • Support operational transition activities and ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer of branch processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in general accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with local government compliance, permits, and tax-related requirements is an advantage.
