Safety Officer

About the role

This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in upholding our commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

1. Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
2. Developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies, procedures, and training programs
3. Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommending corrective actions
4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies
5. Providing safety guidance and support to project managers, supervisors, and workers
6. Maintaining accurate safety records and documentation
7. Collaborating with the health, safety, and environment team to continuously improve safety practices

1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry
3. Excellent knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, including OSHA and local safety codes
4. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Proficient in the use of safety monitoring and reporting tools
7. Passionate about promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement
