The Safety Officer 1 (SO1) is responsible for assisting Clinovation Corp. in implementing and maintaining workplace safety, health, and emergency preparedness programs in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and Republic Act 11058.

The role ensures a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment for employees, clients, and visitors within the call center facility.

Key Responsibilities

Occupational Safety & Health Compliance
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program.
  • Ensure compliance with DOLE regulations, OSH Standards, and company safety policies.
  • Maintain all required safety documentation, reports, and records.
  • Support workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Incident Reporting & Investigation
  • Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety-related concerns.
  • Prepare incident reports and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions following incidents.
Emergency Preparedness & Response
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures, evacuation plans, and fire safety programs.
  • Assist in organizing fire drills, earthquake drills, and emergency preparedness exercises.
  • Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Incident Management Team when required.
Training & Employee Awareness
  • Conduct safety orientations for newly hired employees.
  • Facilitate workplace safety awareness campaigns and training sessions.
  • Promote employee participation in health and safety initiatives.
Health & Safety Committee Support
  • Act as secretary or coordinator for the Health and Safety Committee as assigned.
  • Prepare meeting schedules, minutes, and follow-up action items.
  • Track and report the status of committee recommendations.
Workplace Inspections
  • Conduct routine inspections of workstations, common areas, electrical equipment, emergency exits, and facilities.
  • Ensure emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and emergency signage are properly maintained.
  • Coordinate with Facilities and Administration teams regarding safety concerns.
Regulatory Coordination
  • Assist during DOLE inspections and compliance audits.
  • Coordinate with external agencies regarding occupational safety and health matters.
  • Prepare and submit required government reports related to workplace safety.
Administrative Functions
  • Maintain safety training records, permits, certifications, and compliance documents.
  • Monitor inventory of safety supplies and emergency equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Required
  • Graduate of any Bachelor's Degree.
  • Must possess a valid DOLE-accredited Safety Officer 1 (SO1) certification (BOSH Training).
  • At least 1 year of experience in workplace safety, facilities, administration, or related functions is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and RA 11058.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
  • Experience in a BPO, shared services, or office-based environment.
  • Basic knowledge of emergency response, fire safety, and incident management.
  • First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an advantage.
