- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in clinical operations, datasciences, QA, and regulatory teams to translate complex domain problems into AI-driven solutions.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and ML infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reproducibility.
- Apply advanced techniques including deep learning, time-series analysis, federated learning, and generative AI to life sciences datasets (e.g., EHRs, genomic data, real-world evidence).
- Evaluate and select tools, frameworks, and architectures appropriate for healthcare and regulated environments.
- Contribute to regulatory-compliant model development and documentation, ensuring transparency and traceability of AI/ML outputs.
- Mentor junior team members and support the development of internal AI/ML capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning or AI, with a strong track record in applied research and/or production deployment.
- Experience working with life sciences, healthcare, or clinical trial data (e.g., CDISC, EDC systems, medical imaging, genomics, lab data) is a plus.
- Expertise in Python and key ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, XGBoost).
- Strong understanding of model evaluation, validation, and bias detection in clinical applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), MLOps, and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with data privacy, HIPAA, GDPR, and GxP compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; comfortable in a start-up or innovation-driven environment.
