A Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact between a company and its customers. They handle inquiries, resolve complaints, provide product or service information, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or in person
- Provide accurate information about products, services, and policies
- Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and professionally
- Document customer interactions and maintain records in company systems
- Follow up with customers to ensure issues are resolved and satisfaction is achieved
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and escalate concerns when necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to address customer needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Active listening and empathy
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (some roles may prefer college-level education)
