Position Summary
The Finance Comptroller Officer / Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the company’s overall finance and accounting operations. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective budget management, regulatory compliance, and implementation of sound financial controls to support business growth and operational efficiency.
The position plays a critical role in monitoring financial performance, managing company resources, and providing strategic financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Finance and Accounting Department.
- Oversee accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, treasury, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor company expenses against approved budgets and conduct variance and financial performance analysis.
- Prepare financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and expenditure reports to support operational and strategic planning.
- Implement, maintain, and strengthen financial controls, accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring complete and accurate financial documentation.
- Recommend process improvements and corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure timely submission and accuracy of financial data and reports.
- Supervise finance staff, assign projects, and ensure achievement of departmental objectives and reporting deadlines.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Comptroller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role in Finance and Accounting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, budgeting, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, accounting software, and financial management systems.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities with the ability to direct and motivate a team.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license is an advantage.
