Procurement Officer

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, tools, and services required for telecom construction projects. This role ensures that all procurement activities are cost-efficient, timely, and aligned with project specifications, safety standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure telecom-related materials (e.g., cables, poles, towers, network equipment, tools, and consumables) at competitive prices.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to forecast material requirements and ensure timely availability on-site.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and ensure proper documentation and compliance with company standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, deliveries, and project material usage to avoid shortages or delays.
• Research and identify potential new vendors and alternative materials for cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, safety standards, and telecom industry regulations.
• Provide regular procurement reports and assist in budget monitoring.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2–3 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or telecom industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction and telecom-related materials and suppliers.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP/procurement systems.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
