Urgent: Accounting Specialist - General Accounting - Manila

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheets, income statements and cash flows. Maintains knowledge and is updated on current acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
2. Maintains the general ledger. Develops account reconciliations, journal entries, data compilation and analyses ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
3. Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
4. Prepares and files monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
5. Records transactions by entering (capturing data) into the computerized accounting system and to the appropriate journal and ledgers.
6. Maintains an organized filing system to facilitate efficient document reference retrieval.
7. Performs other tasks and functions which may be required of the position by the immediate superior from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Accounting graduate preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 2 years' work experience in tax compliance and financial reporting preferably in a similar work environment.
• Strong knowledge of PAGCOR regulations, including financial reporting and tax requirements for the gaming industry is preferred.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

• Technical accounting skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
• Knowledge of financial reporting
• Knowledge of municipal ordinances/laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation
• Previous experience of general accounting
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft office application
