Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficiency, product quality, food safety, and timely output. This role supervises production personnel, monitors production processes, ensures compliance with operational standards, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise production crew assigned to mixing, baking, decorating, panning, packaging, and QCI areas.
- Monitor oven operations, cleanliness, temperature settings, and baking parameters to ensure product consistency and quality.
- Oversee raw material preparation, weighing, sorting, and ingredient accuracy.
- Ensure proper labeling, expiry control, weighing scale accuracy, and compliance with product specifications.
- Perform and oversee Quality Control Inspection (QCI) of baked goods, work-in-progress items, and finished products.
- Ensure strict compliance with GMP, sanitation standards, food safety regulations, and company policies.
- Review and verify production reports, checklists, oven logs, QCI sheets, raw material monitoring, and batch reports.
- Monitor expiry dates, stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and proper storage of ingredients and materials.
- Ensure all crew comply with clean-as-you-go practices and equipment sanitation procedures.
- Allocate manpower efficiently across workstations to achieve daily production targets.
- Train, coach, and guide crew members on proper procedures, machine operation, quality standards, and process flow.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager regarding operational issues, material shortages, equipment concerns, and production updates.
- Assist in production planning and scheduling activities.
- Help identify and address workflow bottlenecks to improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare and endorse daily production reports, raw material updates, and QCI findings.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in production operations or manufacturing, preferably in the food industry.
- Experience supervising production personnel and managing daily operations.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good communication and team management skills.
- Proficient in production reporting and documentation.
