Job Summary
Biosite Medical Instruments, Inc. is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Product Manager to lead the strategy, growth, and lifecycle management of assigned diagnostic product lines, with strong exposure to coagulation and clinical chemistry solutions.
The Product Manager will play a key role in driving product success from market analysis, product positioning, launch planning, sales enablement, customer engagement, and commercial execution. This role works closely with Sales, Applications, Service, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and global principals to ensure that assigned products remain competitive, clinically relevant, commercially strong, and aligned with customer needs.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong experience in IVD, diagnostics, medical devices, laboratory equipment, clinical applications, product management, or healthcare distribution.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle of assigned diagnostic product lines.
- Develop and execute product strategies, product roadmaps, launch plans, and growth initiatives.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, customer needs assessment, and product performance reviews.
- Monitor sales performance, revenue targets, profitability metrics, market share, and product adoption.
- Lead product trainings, technical presentations, product demonstrations, and promotional programs.
- Support Sales, Applications, and Service teams with strong clinical and technical product positioning.
- Provide product expertise for coagulation, clinical chemistry, analyzer platforms, reagents, lab workflows, QC processes, and customer training.
- Coordinate with global principals, suppliers, internal departments, and key customers to ensure successful product implementation and support.
- Prepare product reports, forecasts, pricing recommendations, business plans, and market development strategies.
- Represent the company in trade shows, conferences, customer visits, and industry events.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to recommend product improvements, innovations, and business opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or any related field.
- Relevant experience in product management, product marketing, sales, clinical applications, diagnostics, or healthcare business development.
- Hands-on exposure to coagulation and clinical chemistry diagnostics is strongly preferred.
- Experience with analyzer platforms, reagents, laboratory workflows, QC processes, and customer training is an advantage.
- Background in IVD, medical devices, laboratory equipment, healthcare distribution, or hospital/laboratory operations is preferred.
- Strong capability in product strategy, lifecycle management, market research, roadmap development, and cross-functional leadership.
- Solid business acumen in budgeting, forecasting, pricing, sales performance analysis, and profitability monitoring.
- Excellent communication, presentation, training, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with hospital procurement, regulatory requirements, quality systems, and project management tools is an advantage.
- Proactive, analytical, customer-oriented, organized, and results-driven.
