Overview
We are seeking an experienced RN Executive Assistant with a strong focus on Quality Assurance (QA) to support a growing U.S.-based home health agency serving veterans and high-acuity patients.
This role is critical in ensuring clinical documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and overall survey readiness, while providing direct support to leadership in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.
This position is ideal for a highly experienced nurse who can operate independently, take ownership of QA processes, and deliver reliable, detail-driven work. In addition to core QA responsibilities, the role will provide light operational support, including oversight of scheduling and authorization tracking, within a fast-paced and expanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical QA & Compliance- Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Perform ongoing chart audits to ensure adherence to Medicare, Medicaid, and VA guidelines
- Identify documentation deficiencies and communicate corrections to clinical staff
- Support survey readiness and accreditation preparation
- Maintain audit-ready records and ensure regulatory compliance at all times
- Assist in developing and maintaining QA processes and workflows
- Monitor documentation timeliness including visit notes, orders, and certifications
- Ensure EMR (Axxess or similar) documentation is accurate and up to date
- Serve as a clinical executive assistant to the owner and Director of Nursing
- Provide high-level support to relieve clinical leadership workload
- Assist with tracking and managing authorizations to ensure timely approvals
- Review schedules to ensure alignment with authorized services and patient needs
- Support coordination between clinical, intake, and administrative functions
- Help monitor operational workflows and flag inefficiencies or gaps
- Assist with scheduling oversight and adjustments as needed
- Support authorization tracking and follow-ups
- Collaborate with intake and coordination teams as needed
- Take on additional administrative or clinical support tasks as the agency grows
- Active RN license required
- Minimum 3+ years of home health experience (required)
- Strong Quality Assurance / chart audit experience in home health
- Experience with Axxess EMR or similar system required
- Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and/or VA home health requirements
- Experience with survey readiness and accreditation processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal training or supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with VA or veteran patient populations
- Prior experience in a QA or compliance-focused role
- Experience supporting fast-growing home health agencies
- Familiarity with multi-service lines (SN, PT, ST, etc.)
- Experience in an executive assistant or leadership support capacity
