Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Reliability- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment faults and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure equipment operates within design specifications and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues.
- Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and production losses.
- Recommend and implement improvements to equipment reliability, efficiency, and maintenance processes.
- Participate in equipment upgrades, installations, and commissioning activities.
- Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
- Develop and update maintenance procedures, work instructions, and schedules.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and support safety audits related to equipment and maintenance activities.
- Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance and engineering teams.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and External Vendors.
- Support training of technicians and operators on proper equipment use and maintenance.
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers for parts and technical support.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or plant engineering (manufacturing or industrial setting preferred).
- Experience with production machinery, automation systems, or utilities is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, and control systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to urgent equipment issues.
- May require shift work, overtime, or on-call support.
- Exposure to factory or plant environments, including noise and machinery.
- Requires adherence to PPE and safety regulations.
