About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior QA professional to support the testing and quality assurance efforts for a major digital platform supporting trade finance, supply chain, and microfinance operations. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned QA leader who enjoys working with large, cross-functional teams and wants to play a key role in delivering a secure, stable, production-ready platform.
You'll take ownership of quality from end to end — from reviewing requirements, to building test plans, to giving clear go/no-go recommendations before a release goes live.
What You'll Do- Review project documents (solution designs, functional specs, technical designs) and flag issues early
- Build and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and defect reports (using Azure DevOps)
- Run and/or automate data migration checks and comparisons
- Set up test data, user roles, and test environments
- Lead system, integration, and performance testing - and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Prepare regular test status reports for stakeholders
- Mentor and transfer knowledge to other QA team members
- Provide clear release readiness recommendations (go/no-go) with risk callouts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Finance/Accountancy background is a plus)
- 10+ years of hands-on QA/testing experience; test automation experience is a strong advantage
- Solid experience writing test cases and understanding business processes
- Familiarity testing modern front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular) and back-end (Node.js, Python, or Java) applications
- Experience using Azure DevOps for test documentation and defect tracking
- Understanding of ISTQB / BCS Test Body of Knowledge (ISEB/BCS-CTFL certification preferred)
- Good grasp of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Comfortable working with databases and writing basic to intermediate queries
- Background in Financial Services or Banking is a plus
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
