Town Planning Assistant

On behalf of our client we are seeking a smart person with planning or legal lawyer inclinations to prepare town planning development applications for various councils throughout QLD. We are looking for someone in the PH to work from home and is a great long-term position with diversity of applications. We will provide helpful training. Specifically you would:

• reviewing Council code requirements (eg engineering, landscaping, built form, adjoining property etc)
• checking if you have consultant reports which address all those codes
• summarising the development proposal
• providing arguments and reasons why council should accept any deviations from the planning scheme
• liasing with consultants
• liasing with council
• liasing with client

Whilst town planning experience is not necessary for the role if you have a background in law (legal) or in town planning and you enjoy sorting through policy requirements and reviewing consultant reports you will do well!
