Tasks and duties

Driving a truck to deliver goods to customers.
Loading and unloading cargo.
Recording cargo deliveries.
Refueling and cleaning vehicles.
Inspecting trucks and recording issues.
Reporting mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
Planning routes using a GPS.
Bringing goods to clients on time.

Aside from transporting materials and goods, Truck Drivers can also perform sales and customer service as part of the job. They also inspect their vehicles for mechanical issues relating to safe operation and basic repair work. They are expected to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to customers.

Moreover, Truck Drivers work closely with a team of dispatchers to plan routes and track deliveries.
