The Heavy Truck Driver must be skilled in handling heavy vehicles in various traffic, weather, and road conditions while maintaining delivery schedules and ensuring cargo security.

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy trucks or trailers to transport goods, raw materials, or equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and maintain the vehicle before and after trips (tires, brakes, lights, fluids, etc.).
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo to prevent damage and maintain balance.
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules, adjusting routes when necessary.
• Check delivery documents, permits, or waybills to ensure accuracy.
• Follow all road safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Maintain logbooks, delivery reports, and fuel consumption records.
• Report any vehicle issues, accidents, delays, or violations to supervisors or dispatchers.
• Assist with minor mechanical repairs or coordinate with mechanics as needed.
• Ensure the security of cargo during transport and adhere to special handling requirements (if any).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Professional Driver’s License with appropriate restriction codes (e.g., Restriction 8 in the Philippines or equivalent for heavy vehicles).

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving heavy trucks or trailers.
• Clean and verifiable driving record (no major accidents or violations).
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and emergency procedures.
• Ability to read and follow delivery instructions, route maps, and manifests.
• Physically fit; capable of lifting heavy loads and performing duties for long hours.
• Willingness to travel long distances and work overnight shifts, weekends, or holidays if needed.
• Familiarity with GPS or electronic logging devices (ELDs) is a plus.
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and attention to safety.
