Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service & Communication

• Greeting & Seating: Welcome guests warmly, guide them to their tables, and provide menus.
• Menu Knowledge & Recommendations: Master the menu, daily specials, and ingredients. Offer helpful recommendations and be able to identify or inquire about allergens and dietary restrictions.
• Anticipating Needs: Check on tables during the meal (e.g., refilling drinks, providing extra napkins) to ensure a high-quality guest experience.
• Handling Complaints: Resolve customer issues or complaints quickly and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.

1. Order Taking & Execution

• Accuracy: Accurately log food and beverage orders and input them into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Liaising with Kitchen/Bar: Communicate clearly with back-of-house and bar staff to ensure orders are expedited correctly and special requests are met.
• Food Delivery: Deliver meals and drinks promptly to the table, ensuring correct presentation and appropriate temperatures.

1. Cleanliness, Sanitation & Side Work

• Table Maintenance: Clear dirty plates, glasses, and utensils throughout the meal and between courses.
• Resetting Tables: Promptly wipe down, sanitize, and reset tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware for the next guests.
• Station Upkeep: Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room floor, service stations, and surrounding areas.
• Restock napkins, condiments, and other dining supplies.

1. Billing & Cash Handling

• Processing Payments: Prepare and deliver guest checks, process payments (cash, credit cards, or digital wallets), and handle billing adjustments or split checks.
• Farewell: Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return as they depart the restaurant.

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or Vocational Certificate
• Prior experience in customer service, food service, or cashiering is an advantage, though entry-level and fresh graduates are often accepted
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor to guarantee a positive guest experience
• Clear verbal communication in English and local languages to take orders accurately and relay information to the kitchen
• Ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced situations while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude
• Capacity to stand and walk for long shifts, and ability to carry trays, plates, and supplies
• Familiarity with food safety, sanitation regulations, and workplace accident prevention
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
