About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee US-based client accounting services. This individual will manage a team of accounting staff, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain a high standard of client communication and service.This role requires hands-on expertise in accounting systems, team management, and month-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Tasks:
- Review daily financial reports.
- Maintain direct responsibility for client communications.
- Support and guide accounting staff with questions and troubleshooting.
- Provide updates to the Dine US Team as required.
- Manage personal email inbox with a 24-hour response time.
- Monitor client email inboxes 2–3 times daily, ensuring responses within 24 hours.
- Follow established company processes and protocols.
- Provide coverage for absent staff handling critical daily functions (e.g., DSS approvals, Email Management, Bank Activity Clearing, Undeposited Funds Review).
Weekly Tasks:
- Process and oversee client bill payments.
- Cover for staff absences in key weekly tasks such as Sales Reconciliation and Prime Margin Reports.
Bi-Weekly Tasks:
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with accounting staff to manage deadlines, discuss monthly close processes, and track project updates.
Monthly Tasks:
- Review all reports related to the monthly closing process.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of client financial reports.
- Oversee team progress on monthly deliverables and ensure adherence to internal processes.
- Lead or participate in meetings with both the Dine Philippines and Dine US Teams.
- Review performance feedback, provide coaching, and support the career development of accounting staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing accounting teams and multiple client deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong background in financial reporting and month-end closing.
- Experience functioning as a finance or accounting team leader or manager.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in at least one of the following US client accounting platforms:
- Restaurant365
- QuickBooks Online
- SAP ERP
- Sage Intacct
- MarginEdge
- Xero
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new accounting tools and software.
- Language and Communication: Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to communicate professionally with managers, clients, and peers via phone and email.
- Able to collaborate between US and Philippine teams.
Analytical and Organizational Skills:
- Demonstrates a strong problem-solving mindset by identifying root causes and delivering
- solutions, even when it requires thoroughly analyzing detailed or routine daily information.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Comfortable dealing with complex situations and guiding staff through resolution.
- 10+ years of experience with US or offshore client accounting services.
- Prior experience using Restaurant365, QuickBooks Online, SAP ERP, Sage Intacct, MarginEdge, or Xero.
- Prior experience in providing accounting services to clients in the Hospitality and Restaurant Industry. (Preferred)
- Proven ability to manage at least 5 clients concurrently.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Experience managing two or more accounting staff members.
