We’re currently hiring a Payroll Specialist to support the payroll needs of our U.S.-based clients and entities, as well as our own teams—a key role for someone who wants to deepen their expertise in U.S. payroll compliance.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Serve as the go-to payroll expert for our internal team
  • Manage and process U.S. payroll using platforms like Gusto
  • Manage our internal teams' payroll
  • Advise senior accountants on payroll setup, compliance, and issue resolution
  • Ensure correct application of federal and state withholdings, FICA, Medicare, and Social Security
  • Handle Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA), state unemployment, and workers’ comp coordination
  • Communicate clear next steps and follow-up items for each payroll cycle
  • Document workflows and identify areas for automation or improvement
What You’ll Need
  • 2+ years of experience with U.S. payroll, including multi-state compliance
  • Strong working knowledge of Gusto (other platforms a plus)
  • Familiarity with 941s and general U.S. payroll reporting requirements
  • Strong English communication skills—written and spoken
  • A reliable PC/laptop, high-speed internet, and professional camera/mic
  • Ability to work CST hours during training and key payroll deadlines

Compensation

Onboarding Period (First 3 Months):

  • $6–$7 USD/hour

Performance-Based Growth Plan:

  • Months 4–12: $8–$9/hour
  • After Year 1: Up to $10/hour or more, depending on contribution and performance
  • Additional raises and promotions annually based on your impact

The last two rounds involve sending in a video recording of yourself answering questions we will send and an interview with some of my other team members in the Philippines and an interview with me. Then we will make our final decision.
