The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems and equipment across retail locations. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role supervises engineering staff and contractors to ensure that all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems function efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
The Engineering Supervisor also assists in the planning and execution of preventive maintenance programs and minor renovation or repair works to support uninterrupted retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of engineering staff and technical contractors across retail stores or facilities.
- Monitor and ensure the proper operation of all electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other essential systems.
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance schedules and corrective repair programs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential maintenance or safety issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers, service providers, and vendors for equipment servicing, repair, or upgrades.
- Support store openings, renovations, and special projects by providing technical expertise and supervising facility-related work.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company maintenance protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment service histories.
- Assist the Facilities Manager in preparing budgets, cost estimates, and reports related to engineering and maintenance operations.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues and provide on-site supervision when needed.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Licensed Engineer (RME or REE) preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in building/facility maintenance or engineering, preferably in the retail, commercial, or hospitality sectors.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, etc.).
- Experience supervising technical teams and coordinating third-party contractors.
- Proficient in maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
- Willing to travel to various store locations and work on-call for urgent maintenance concerns.
Work Arrangement:
- Monday to Friday (On-site)
- 8am-6:30pm, 9am-7:30pm, or 10am-8:30pm
- Located in Bagumbayan Libis QC, near Eastwood.
