Aircon Technician

Job Summary:

The Aircon Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air conditioning and ventilation systems within the hotel to ensure a comfortable environment for guests and staff. This role supports the Engineering/Maintenance Department in maintaining optimal system performance and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance of chillers, split-type units, window-type units, and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs on compressors, motors, thermostats, and electrical components.
• Monitor HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety standards.
• Respond promptly to guest and staff requests regarding air conditioning issues.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, and refrigerants.
• Assist in energy conservation programs by ensuring systems operate efficiently.
• Coordinate with other departments for maintenance schedules and repairs.
• Follow hotel safety policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or vocational/technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or related field.
• Proven experience as an aircon technician, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial setting.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and refrigeration principles.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
• TESDA certification (e.g., RAC Servicing NC II) is an advantage.
• Able to work in varying conditions.
