Position Statement:
The Production Manager for Metal Stamping Manufacturing is responsible for managing and overseeing the overall production operations of the metal stamping process. The position ensures efficient utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and production schedules to achieve company targets in quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and safety.The Production Manager also leads continuous improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with manufacturing standards and customer requirements.
Job Description:
- Manage daily operations of the metal stamping production line.
- Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Supervise production supervisors, line leaders, machine operators, and production staff.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance coordination of stamping machines, press machines, dies, and tooling.
- Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, downtime, and output performance.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for production-related issues.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, Engineering, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Logistics departments.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Analyze production data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Control production costs, material usage, and minimize scrap and wastage.
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies.
- Conduct employee training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Maintain discipline and proper implementation of company policies within the production area.
- Participate in production planning, capacity planning, and process improvement projects.
- Address manpower concerns and ensure proper workforce allocation.
Qualifications/Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Mandarin Speaking is required for this position
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related course with at least ten (10) years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of environmental management & quality assurance systems (ISO 9001 and 14001).
- Knowledge of quality management methods, like Lean and Six Sigma with Six Sigma Certification.
- Excellent working knowledge of quality assurance and control methods, plus the ability to strictly implement into a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, dimensions and tolerances
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask and ability to meet tight deadlines
