QA Analyst (Manual & Automation Testing) - WFH/Remote

Job Description:

This role will focus on ensuring the reliability, performance, and compliance of enterprise-level insurance software applications, including customer-facing web portals and communication systems (phone calls, SMS).

Responsibilities of this Role:

• Assume primary responsibility for quality assurance across enterprise-level insurance software applications, including web portals and telecommunication solutions (voice and SMS)
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Perform manual and automated testing of user interfaces, APIs, and backend systems
• Validate telecommunication workflows including call routing, SMS delivery, and message accuracy across platforms
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring clear reproduction steps and severity classification
• Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business objectives
• Participate in sprint planning, ticket specifications and production deployment processes to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability issues
• Validate system performance, scalability, and reliability under various conditions
• Ensure applications meet compliance and regulatory standards relevant to the U.S. insurance industry (e.g., data privacy, communication regulations)
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards
• Support release validation and production deployments, including post-release verification
• Communicate clearly on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to the team

Skills & Experience Needed:

• 3–5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for web-based applications
• Experience testing customer-facing web portals and SaaS platforms
• Experience testing telecommunication systems (e.g., call flows, IVR, SMS platforms such as Twilio or similar) preferred
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect lifecycle management
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger)
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) preferred
• Experience with test management and tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Basic understanding of SQL for data validation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Knowledge of browser debugging tools and cross-browser testing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in the insurance or regulated financial services industry preferred
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments
