Senior Unified Communications Engineer

About the Role

You’ll be the subject-matter expert for UC voice and video, leading projects end-to-end and elevating our meeting-room experience.

• Design, implement, and support enterprise UC voice and video solutions across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Cisco Webex.
• Engineer and maintain SIP trunking, dial plans, and call routing; configure and operate SBCs (e.g., AudioCodes, Ribbon).
• Build, standardize, and lifecycle-manage meeting rooms (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Webex devices): provisioning, firmware, room standards, and user experience.
• Integrate PSTN via Direct Routing, Operator Connect, Zoom/partner providers; coordinate with Philippine and global telcos.
• Define and optimize dial plans, auto-attendants, call queues/hunt groups, emergency services (where applicable), and number management.
• Collaborate with network teams on QoS for real-time media (DSCP, VLANs), firewall/SRTP/TLS policies, and performance baselines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot using TAC, logs, SBC traces, and analytics (Teams Admin Center, Zoom Admin, Webex Control Hub).
• Lead small-to-medium UC projects, produce architecture and design documentation, and create operational runbooks.
• Drive standards, governance, and best practices; mentor junior engineers and guide vendors/partners.
• Support incident, problem, and change processes (ITIL); participate in an on-call rotation as needed.

• 8–10 years’ experience in Unified Communications, Collaboration, or Voice/AV engineering roles.
• Strong SIP and SIP trunking expertise, including dial plans, codecs, and SBC configuration (AudioCodes, Ribbon/Sonus).
• Hands-on with Microsoft Teams (including Teams Phone), Zoom (including Zoom Phone/Rooms), and Cisco Webex platforms.
• Meeting room engineering across MTR on Windows/Android, Zoom Rooms, Webex Room devices; familiarity with Logitech/Poly/Crestron/Cisco ecosystems.
• Solid networking foundations: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, firewalls, QoS for real-time traffic; understanding of SRTP/TLS and certificate management.
• Comfortable with admin portals and automation basics (e.g., Teams Admin Center, PowerShell, Zoom Admin, Webex Control Hub).
• Excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and vendor management skills.
• Nice-to-have certifications: Microsoft MS-700 / Teams Voice, AudioCodes ACA/ACP, Ribbon, Zoom Rooms Specialist, Cisco CCNA/CCNP Collaboration, ITIL.

• Hybrid work model with periodic onsite presence for meeting room builds and testing.
• Standard day shift with flexibility for maintenance windows; participation in an on-call/after-hours rotation for critical changes.
