Job Description
As an Assistant Estimator, you’ll support project success by preparing accurate quantity take-offs, assisting in cost estimations, and collaborating with senior estimators to deliver competitive bids for large-scale civil construction works across Australia.

- 1 - 2 years of experience in a construction estimating or technical support role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in quantity take-off software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX, AutoCAD).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction drawings.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with 3D modeling and take-off tools.
- Familiarity with industry-standard pricing and construction materials.
- Basic knowledge of estimation practices and project cost control.
- Perform quantity take-offs (2D and 3D) using architectural and engineering drawings.
- Assist in creating detailed and accurate Bills of Quantities (BoQ).
- Analyze and compare estimates from various sources to support decision-making.
- Support senior estimators in preparing bid packages and project cost summaries.
- Review drawings and project documents to ensure accuracy in measurements and costing.
- Maintain and update estimate databases and historical cost information.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information as needed.
- Assist with document control and administrative tasks related to the estimation process.
