Accounting Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is often preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance, typically 3–5 years, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Familiarity with financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong leadership and team management abilities, problem-solving and decision-making proficiency.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
- Analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, delegating tasks and ensuring smooth workflow.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Assist in preparing budgets and monitor spending to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Work closely with other departments to support organizational financial planning and decision-making.
- Provide necessary documentation and assistance during internal or external audits.
