Role Overview:-The Junior Veterinarian will support the health management of poultry layers, focusing on disease prevention, flock performance, and data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career veterinarians who are trainable and motivated to specialize in poultry medicine.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in monitoring flock health, behavior, and productivity.
- Conduct routine examinations and support diagnostic procedures.
- Gather, analyze, and document farm data (mortality, feed intake, egg production, vaccination records).
- Support biosecurity measures and farm hygiene protocols.
- Assist in implementing vaccination and treatment programs under supervision.
- Collaborate with farm managers and senior veterinarians to improve flock performance.
- Participate in research, case studies, and data analysis for farm optimization.
- Provide technical support and education to farm staff on poultry health and welfare.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, graduate (licensed or unlicensed).Gender: Open to male or female applicants.
Experience: With or without prior farm or clinical experience; fresh graduates welcome.
Skills & Attributes: -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Expertise in data gathering, monitoring, and record-keeping.-Trainable, adaptable, and eager to learn poultry-specific practices.
- Ability to work in a farm environment and collaborate with farm staff.
- Good communication skills for reporting and coordination.
