Duties and Responsibilities
- Review engineering designs and works to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, local and international codes, and engineering standards.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve constructability, operational, and maintenance issues during the design and execution stages.
- Evaluate and recommend approval or disapproval of subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers; conduct site and factory visits as required.
- Review construction methodologies, test procedures, and witness factory acceptance tests for major equipment.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements before and during construction activities.
- Verify that delivered and installed materials and equipment meet approved specifications, quantities, and quality standards.
- Monitor contractors’ progress and evaluate progress measurement reports for recommendation and approval.
- Participate in pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities, including review of training programs, manuals, as‑built drawings, and operational tests.
- Monitor contractor performance and identify issues affecting cost, schedule, safety, and quality; recommend corrective actions.
- Attend project coordination meetings and support cross‑functional project activities as required.
- Ensure achievement of project performance, productivity, quality, and EHS targets.
- Comply with company policies, safety rules, government regulations, and quality and productivity initiatives.
- Perform other duties related to project execution as assigned by management.
