About the role
XMCBPO is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our growing team in Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our organisation.As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll administration, maintaining compliance with local regulations, and supporting our employees with payroll-related inquiries. This position is essential to maintaining the financial integrity and employee satisfaction of our company.
Key responsibilities- Processing monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in salary calculations, deductions, and benefits
- Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including personal information, tax details, and benefit elections
- Calculating and processing statutory deductions, taxes, and contributions in compliance with Philippine tax laws and regulations
- Preparing and submitting payroll reports and documentation to relevant government agencies and regulatory bodies
- Reconciling payroll accounts and identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Managing leave records and processing leave entitlements in accordance with company policy and labour laws
- Handling employee payroll inquiries and providing support regarding pay slips, deductions, and benefits
- Ensuring confidentiality of sensitive payroll information and maintaining secure payroll records
- Collaborating with the Human Resources and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations
- Staying updated on changes to payroll regulations and implementing necessary updates to payroll processes
- Proven experience of at least 2-3 years in a payroll administration or specialist role
- Strong knowledge of Philippine payroll regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements including BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG
- Proficiency in payroll software systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with payroll management systems is highly desirable
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to meet strict payroll deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion
- Knowledge of human resources practices and benefits administration
- Certification in payroll or accounting (such as CPA or payroll certification) is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- High level of integrity, reliability, and commitment to accuracy
