Qualifications
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in loan processing, mortgage auditing, or related mortgage operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using Encompass preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with mortgage loan processes across various operational departments
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Manage a daily pipeline of loans assigned for audit review
  • Participate in internal audits by completing assigned tasks in accordance with departmental methodology, professional standards, and established timelines
  • Conduct root cause analysis on identified findings and exceptions
  • Validate fees charged and allocate costs to the appropriate departments
  • Review and analyze loan histories and milestone timelines within Loan Origination Systems (LOS)
  • Document audit work and findings clearly and accurately in accordance with departmental standards
  • Oversee the PA Reconciliation shared mailbox and provide updates to secondary partners regarding purchase advice reconciliation inquiries
  • Log all curtailed and aged loans into the AMPED system
  • Participate in meetings with Post Closing Management and provide updates on assigned areas of review
  • Utilize data analytics to support audit activities and decision-making
  • Continuously develop knowledge related to assigned audit functions and mortgage operations
  • Maintain daily oversight of assigned audit loan pipelines
  • Embrace process improvements and innovative change initiatives
  • Meet or exceed required daily audited file targets
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
