Job Purpose
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting and continuously improving Atelier’s global supply chain operations to ensure In Delivery in Full & On Time In Quality (DIFOTIQ) service performance across all customer orders.
The role is responsible for coordinating all Atelier shipments, confirming stock readiness with Atelier’s suppliers, and arranging transport through freight forwarders and local carriers. This includes managing shipments across multiple suppliers, manufacturers, and international markets, ensuring efficient and compliant delivery to customer-designated locations.
You will act as the central point of coordination between suppliers, freight partners, internal teams, and customers, ensuring visibility, accuracy of documentation, and proactive management of logistics risks.
Core Responsibilities
Freight Planning & Coordination- Develop and maintain a Freight Forecast Schedule for all Atelier Supplier POs by country and supplier to align with customer delivery requirements and Atelier revenue forecasts.
- Coordinate international shipments across air, sea, and road freight in line with agreed Incoterms.
- Confirm cargo readiness dates with suppliers and arrange timely pickup and transportation.
- Work closely with freight forwarders to ensure optimal routing, consolidation opportunities, and cost efficiency.
- Provide timely communication and resolution for freight-related enquiries or issues.
- Support internal teams including production, planning, and customer service to ensure aligned delivery expectations.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, efficiency, and shipment visibility.
- Assist in implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics coordination.
- Support initiatives to improve delivery performance, freight optimisation, and risk management.
- Monitor all shipments in transit and track delivery schedules to ensure on-time performance.
- Proactively manage shipment delays, disruptions, and risk mitigation, providing updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and status updates in internal tracking systems.
- Freight Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare, review, and coordinate all required shipping documentation, including: Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading (BOL), Air Waybills (AWB), Certificates of Origin, Dangerous Goods (DG/IATA) documentation and POD (Proof of Delivery)
- Ensure compliance with international trade, customs regulations, and transport requirements.
- Liaise with customs brokers and clearance agents to facilitate smooth cargo clearance where applicable.
- Verify freight invoices against agreed rates and shipment details.
- Ensure Proof of Delivery (POD) is obtained and recorded for all shipments.
- Submit verified freight invoices to the finance team for processing.
- Support logistics cost tracking and reporting to ensure budget control and cost visibility.
- Support investigations relating to customer complaints, shipment delays, or delivery discrepancies.
- Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions where necessary.
About the Successful Candidate
Experience- 3–5 years’ experience in logistics, freight coordination, or international transport operations.
- Remote working experience.
- Strong experience coordinating air, sea, and road freight within global supply chains.
- Experience in FMCG, cosmetics, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and international suppliers.
- Strong understanding of international freight documentation and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, DAP, etc.).
- Experience coordinating multi-country shipments and supplier logistics teams.
- Ability to work effectively remotely and independently while collaborating with global teams.
- Excellent organisational and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
