Cost Control ( Civil/Industrial Engineer)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in cost control, project engineering, or quantity surveying.
• Proficient in MS Excel and cost tracking software/tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, ERP systems).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with construction materials, labor cost structures, and project execution methods.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willing to work on-site and conduct field validations as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control actual project costs vs. budgeted costs on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Analyze material usage, labor productivity, and equipment utilization for cost optimization.
• Implement value engineering strategies to reduce costs without affecting performance or quality.
• Assist in preparing and updating the cost baseline, budget forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Identify potential cost overruns early and provide solutions to prevent escalation.
• Coordinate with Procurement to track material orders, deliveries, and consumption.
• Work closely with the Cost Estimator to validate BOQs and price assumptions.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide reports on cost performance.
• Assist in verifying and validating change orders, variations, and their impact on cost.
• Provide cost feedback to management for continuous improvement in pricing future projects.
• Maintain cost tracking tools and records, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
• Performs other task as may be needed. Monitors and controls project costs to prevent overruns, ensure budget compliance, and implement value engineering during execution.
