The HR Manager will serve as a strategic partner to Operations, driving people initiatives that support business goals in a fast-paced BPO environment. This role will oversee key HR functions including employee relations, performance management, engagement, and policy implementation, while ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering- Act as a trusted HR advisor to Operations leaders (Team Leads to Directors)
- Align HR strategies with business objectives and operational needs
- Provide insights on workforce trends, attrition, and engagement
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues (disciplinary cases, grievances, escalations)
- Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions
- Ensure fair, consistent, and compliant handling of cases
- Drive performance management processes (goal setting, evaluations, coaching)
- Partner with leaders on performance improvement plans (PIPs)
- Identify and address performance gaps across teams
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and action planning
- Analyze attrition drivers and implement retention strategies
- Support culture-building programs within the organization
- Ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate and enforce HR policies effectively
- Support audits and compliance reviews
- Support leadership development and succession planning
- Identify training needs and partner with L&D teams
- Drive initiatives to strengthen organizational capability
- Monitor HR metrics (attrition, absenteeism, engagement scores)
- Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership
- Recommend data-driven HR interventions
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Data-driven mindset with ability to interpret HR metrics
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic BPO environment
- Experience supporting high-volume operations (e.g., call center/BPO)
- Knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements
- Experience handling large employee populations
- 4-year college degree in Human Resources (or Business) or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in Human Resources.
- 3-5years work experience as an Associate HR Manager /HR Manager with experience in associate relations, learning and development, problem and conflict resolution and recruiting non-exempt personnel in a high-volume environment
- Experience managing, coaching, and developing others.
- Experience demonstrating extensive knowledge, interpretation, and application of employment laws.
- Extensive knowledge of general labor policies and practices including discrimination, harassment, and union avoidance.
- Prior experience delivering HR training and development programs.
- Demonstrated success in conducting behavioral interviews and management talent assessments.
- Experienced in leading positive change.
- Call Center industry experience preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, including verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills, facilitation skills and negotiation skills
- Success in developing and making compelling written/oral proposals.
- Strong problem solving/consulting skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent planning and organizing skills, especially prioritizing multiple projects/tasks
- Demonstrated listening skills
- Good PC skills with demonstrated ability to use a variety of software packages including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook with the ability to assimilate present and analyze data as needed
- Amenable to work in GY schedule
- Willing to work in Tagbilaran, Bohol
- Can start ASAP
