- Charge of Engine room’s safety, machinery operation, maintenance, bunkering and technical administration;
- Keep very much attention to the paper works, checklists and managerial tasks within the engine department;
- Reports directly to the Master/Captain;
- Ensure that proper entries are being made in the Oil Record Book and Engine Logbook;
- Monitor Fuel and Lube Oil consumption;
- Ensure the machineries in operation must achieve good and safe performance with economical consumption;
- Inform the Captain of machinery and equipment failures and the implications regarding seaworthiness, delays and other matters;
- Liaise with the Chief Officer on interdepartmental issues such as hull repairs, surveys, tank transfers cargo equipment operation and consumable stores; and
- Accepts other task as maybe assigned by the immediate superior in accordance to the need of the Department/vessel.
Qualifications/Requirements
WITH COMPLETE STCW TRAININGS, UPDATED MEDICAL, DCOC, SIRB AND LICENSE
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN OVERHAULING.
