MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
About the role
Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment.As Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee daily maintenance operations, manage a team of maintenance technicians, and ensure that all systems and equipment are functioning optimally to support the company's objectives. This role is instrumental in maintaining safety standards, reducing operational downtime, and extending the lifespan of our assets.
Key responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to the required standard
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities for all equipment and systems
- Respond to and resolve maintenance emergencies and breakdowns in a timely manner
- Inspect facilities, equipment and systems regularly to identify potential issues before they become critical problems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, equipment repairs, spare parts inventory and equipment performance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement proper maintenance procedures
- Train and mentor maintenance team members on best practices, safety protocols and proper use of equipment
- Prepare maintenance reports and budgets for management review
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors when specialist repairs or services are required
- Manage maintenance budgets and control costs through effective resource allocation
- At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities management role, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices, equipment operation and troubleshooting across various systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing)
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse workforce
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities with strong attention to detail
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems and basic computer literacy
- Strong communication skills in English; ability to communicate clearly with team members and management
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in maintenance, engineering or facilities management are preferred
- Valid driver's license is an advantage
