Reliever electrical engineer
About the role
Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a Reliever Electrical Engineer to join our team in Makati City, Metro Manila. This is a part-time position that plays a crucial supporting role in our Government & Local Government operations. As a Reliever Electrical Engineer, you will provide essential technical expertise and support to ensure the continuity and reliability of our electrical engineering operations.This role is designed to offer flexibility whilst maintaining the high standards of service delivery that our clients and stakeholders depend upon.
Key responsibilities- Providing technical support and engineering expertise to cover staffing absences and operational gaps
- Conducting electrical inspections, testing and maintenance on assigned systems and equipment
- Assisting in the design, planning and implementation of electrical projects and infrastructure improvements
- Preparing technical reports, documentation and recommendations for electrical systems and installations
- Collaborating with senior engineers and other departments to resolve technical challenges and optimise operational efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations and government standards
- Performing routine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on electrical installations and systems
- Supporting emergency response activities and urgent electrical system repairs as required
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in electrical engineering, preferably within government or public sector projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, wiring standards and safety protocols
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical competency in diagnosing electrical faults
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to respond promptly to cover shifts and operational needs
- A thorough understanding of Philippine electrical codes and government regulations
- Experience with project management and basic AutoCAD or similar design software is desirable
