Sales Associate (Restaurant)

About the role

As a Sales Associate in our restaurant, you will play a vital role in driving customer satisfaction, increasing sales, and maintaining the high standards that define Select Goods. Your ability to engage with customers, recommend menu items, and process transactions will directly contribute to the success of our business and the loyalty of our clientele.

1. Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival
2. Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff in a timely manner
3. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, beverages, and special offerings
4. Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring proper presentation and quality
5. Process payment transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
6. Clear and reset tables efficiently between service periods
7. Maintain awareness of current promotions, specials, and menu changes to communicate with customers
8. Address customer concerns and complaints with empathy and work towards swift resolutions
9. Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the dining area
10. Collaborate with kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless service delivery
11. Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy and integrity

1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification
2. Previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, or customer service roles (preferred)
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse customers
4. Strong sales ability with a genuine desire to upsell and enhance customer experience
5. Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer literacy
6. Physical capability to stand for extended periods and carry trays and items safely
7. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
8. A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
9. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
10. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
11. Multilingual abilities (beneficial, particularly English and Filipino fluency)
