Airconditioning System & refrigeration Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Airconditioning System & Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and commission refrigeration and HVAC systems. The role ensures the reliable operation of chillers, ice machines, refrigeration equipment, and air conditioning units while complying with company quality and safety standards.

• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and cooling equipment, including chillers, ice machines, refrigeration units, and air conditioning systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues.
• Repair or replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, pumps, motors, electrical controls, and other system components.
• Conduct refrigerant recovery, evacuation, charging, leak testing, and system reprocessing in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Install, test, commission, and verify the performance of refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Complete service reports, maintenance records, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with supervisors, customers, and fellow technicians regarding maintenance schedules and repair status.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and service vehicles are properly maintained.
• Follow occupational safety, electrical safety, and refrigerant handling standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and perform corrective maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring equipment issues and recommending long-term solutions.

• Graduate of a Technical/Vocational course in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC), HVAC, Mechanical Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in commercial building maintenance, property management, or multi-site retail facilities.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, electrical controls, compressors, and refrigeration piping.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in refrigeration system reprocessing is an advantage.
• Owns basic service tools (preferred).
• With a valid motorcycle driver's license is an advantage.
• Willing to travel and respond to maintenance calls across multiple store locations.
