Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Management Accounting, or related courses
  • 1-2 years of accounting-related experience preferred; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and key accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using technology and web-based software platforms
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounting operations for homeowner association portfolios with small and less complex structures
  • Review invoices for completeness and accuracy prior to final release for payment
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for each association
  • Manage fund transfers within and across association bank accounts
  • Perform bank account reconciliations and investigate outstanding items
  • Conduct financial reviews of reports, including balance sheet, income statement, cash disbursement, AR aging, accruals for accounts payable, and general ledger
  • Reclassify general ledger accounts to appropriate income and expense categories
  • Ensure quality control of journal entries and transaction categorization
  • Consolidate financial reports for inclusion in association financial packets
  • Respond to accounting inquiries from community association managers and board members
  • Support preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Perform quality checks on financials during onboarding of new community associations and acquisitions
