Stockroom In-Charge

Job Summary:

The Stockroom Officer In-Charge oversees the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. This role ensures stock is properly organized, inventoried, and distributed in accordance with company standards and procedures. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a small team or coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in supply chain is a plus.
• Proven experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or inventory-related role.
• Familiarity with inventory management software or ERP systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift heavy items and work in physically demanding environments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily operations of the stockroom, ensuring efficient inventory management.
• Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders or delivery notes.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of goods.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements.
• Conduct regular stock audits and report discrepancies to the relevant departments.
• Prepare items for dispatch, including picking, packing, and arranging logistics.
• Monitor stockroom conditions and enforce safety and cleanliness standards.
• Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to ensure stock availability.
• Manage a team of stockroom assistants or helpers (if applicable).
• Generate inventory and stock status reports as required.
