About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our offshore technology team. This is a dedicated quality assurance role responsible for owning and improving the testing function across all technology releases.
This role plays a critical part in improving release quality, system stability, and operational confidence across a growing business environment. You will work closely with developers, product stakeholders, and operations teams to ensure new features, system changes, and onboarding environments are thoroughly tested before deployment.
The ideal candidate is highly organised, process-driven, and capable of building scalable QA processes that improve efficiency over time.
This role operates remotely from the Philippines and collaborates with teams working across Australian time zones.
Key Responsibilities- Own functional testing activities for all ERP and system releases before deployment to live environments
- Build, maintain, and improve regression test suites covering core business workflows including POS, inventory, purchasing, and store onboarding
- Verify onboarding and deployment environments prior to go-live, including configuration validation, permissions, and data integrity checks
- Write and maintain detailed test cases based on requirements provided by the Product Manager and development team
- Identify, log, categorise, and track bugs through to resolution
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities with operations and business stakeholders where required
- Develop repeatable QA processes and testing standards that reduce manual overhead and improve release reliability
- Support and contribute to test automation initiatives as tooling and capabilities evolve
- Assist with release validation, documentation, and post-release verification activities
- Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes
Skills & Experience Required
Essential- Demonstrated experience in functional QA testing, ideally within ERP, retail, or operational systems
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, regression testing, and defect management
- Experience using bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, or similar platforms
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical and process-driven approach
- Excellent documentation skills, including writing clear test cases, bug reports, and release notes
- Strong written English communication skills for collaboration across distributed teams
- Ability to work independently and manage testing schedules aligned with sprint and release cycles
- Experience working with Odoo ERP systems
- Exposure to retail, inventory, warehousing, or franchise-related workflows
- Experience contributing to or maintaining automated testing frameworks
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development environments
- Basic understanding of APIs and system integrations advantageous
Working Hours
This role supports teams operating on Australian business hours. Flexibility may occasionally be required during release periods, deployments, or critical production support activities.
